The challenge
CottonCandy4ACause isn't a business. It's a personal charity event held once a year at Greenwich Township Community Day. The site needed to honor its deeply personal origin story while also being practical: give attendees event details, show the flavors, and make it clear where every dollar goes. The tone had to feel joyful without losing the weight of what it's for.
What we did
We built an editorial single page site from scratch, hand coded with React, no build tooling required. The design leads with the story of Collin Perrone and the mission to support Make-A-Wish New Jersey, then moves through an interactive flavor showcase, event logistics, and a year-by-year impact tracker. The pink-and-lavender palette, animated hero, and editorial type pairing were chosen to feel both festive and sincere.
The result
A site that holds the full story in one scroll: where it started, what it's raising money for, when and where to show up, and how much has been given back over eight years. Built pro bono, in memory of Collin, as one more thing spun with love and given with purpose.
What we delivered.
- Editorial single-page site with animated hero and flavor showcase
- Event details page with date, location, and parking information
- Year-by-year impact tracker showing total donations per event
- Dedicated story section honoring the memory of Collin Perrone
- Fully responsive design, built to load fast at an outdoor event
